There are always extra protection and security measures put in place by the Capital Police during any planned protest or event where large crowds are expected. This "hardening" of the area is a standard operating procedure which includes making sure additional staff are activated and on hand, increasing the fencing and other protective barriers around the Capital, and calling in extra security from outside sources (e.g. the National Guard) if the crowds are expected to be large enough. So ask yourself these questions: "Why were none of the normal extra security measures put in place for January 6th?; "What was taking place in Congress on January 6th, what was the expected outcome of what was taking place, and what were the expected consequences of that expected outcome?"; and, "Who benefited from the rioting?" FORMER ARIZONA MAYOR PLEADED GUILTY TO BALLOT HARVESTING FRAUD.
She was charged with much more, including paying for fraudulent ballots and stuffing ballot boxes with fraudulent ballots, but was offered a plea deal because of the difficulty convicting her of the ballot box stuffing due to a lack of security cameras at the ballot boxes. Arizona Republicans introduced a bill to require security cameras at ballot boxes, the the bill was killed by two Democrat Senators from Arizona.
